I see that today is downloadable the English version, http://www.hipihi.com/index_english.html

    Have you tried it?

  2. LapsusWeinstein Says:

English version… but always is Chinese language lol

I used the old PDF for help (I didn’t remember anything more!)

I looks fine, also if I crashed two times, after a few minutes 😀

So far as there being “a Chinese version and an English version” of Hipihi goes, there is only one installation file; the one installation file has both distinct Chinese language and English language versions in it.

Once you have done the preliminary steps of installing the Asian language pack and setting the Region and Locale settings in Windows and then installing Hipihi there will then be a text file in the Hipihi program folders that requires manual editing in order to make the partial English interface appear in the Hipihi viewer.

In my system this file is C:\Program Files\HiPiHi\HiPiHi World 50012 sp1\UIData\LocalSetting\LocalSetting.xml. There’s a line in there that says: “0” or it might have a -1 in the middle. In order to get the English version of Hipihi to appear the line needs to have a value off 1 in the middle, like this: “1”. You can edit the file in a simple text editor like notepad.

Yes I have tried the English version of Hipihi, I am eager for the rest of the interface to be translated,

    Regarding crashes in Hipihi:

I don’t have a any specific knowledge about crashes in Hipihi.

Hiphi has three levels it puts video cards into. Hipihi thinks that my video card is in the middle category, but it actually works better if I change that setting in Hipihi Config and tell Hipihi to use the lowest quality video category.
