It’s been raining for quite long enough in Hipihi.
It is not a good idea to make your virtual world emulate an aspect of reality that people clearly don’t like and go to great lengths to avoid or to minimize the effects of.
I’d like to take some screen shots without having rain streaks accross them. I don’t want to have rain in a virtual world that I can’t turn off.

The rain is not especially realistic looking, it looks like an effect applied in one plane.
The rain rains inside of buildings. This is real bad. If you can’t solve the problem of stopping the rain when you get to a solid object then you might want to reconsider the choice of using a rain effect.
People go to great lengths to avoid the effects of rain; we use umpbrellas and tarpaulins and roofs and raincoats to escape from the the rain. Why would I want it, against my will, indoors, in a virtual world?
